Matchmaking requires login?

I’m using the auto-matchmaking facility but it crashes if the players are not logged into id.net

The callstack in FlashDevelop can’t be copy/pasted but I’ll type it in:

ID::Matchmaking/getPlayersRank
ID:Matchmaking/joinBestRoom
MethodInfo-60

then it just goes back to a timer via an ‘apply’ call.

The terminal error is:
[Fault] exception, information=ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property pid not found on String and there is no default value.

Can you confirm if login is a deliberate requirement for matchmaking?

Thanks @MinecraftSlayer24 but the game is not ready yet :slight_smile: It’s called Total Tankage and the single player version should be on y8.com soon

Hi Pete, Sorry I missed this topic. I made some small changes that should fix the error from happening. Are you using the high score or achievement based matchmaking?

Hi Eddie, I’m using highscore based matchmaking - I’m guessing it should fall back to an assumed score of zero for guests… or maybe I could submit the locally saved score to it?
